It features the characteristic blend of organic shapes and balance between wood, form and geometric measurements that made Juhl famous. The Duck and the Duckling were designed by Hans Bølling in 1959. His main source of inspiration was an incident that took place in a part of Copenhagen called Fredriksborg. A policeman stopped the busy city traffic when he saw a duck family trying to cross the street. The Ducks, whose heads are movable are handmade out of teak wood with a clean, smooth finish.
